Position: Marketing Assistant
Purpose of the Position
The Marketing Coordinator supports the implementation of marketing and public relations activities, assists in managing communication platforms, and coordinates campaigns and events, ensuring effective promotion of the hospital’s services and a positive organisational image.
Key Performance Areas
- Assist in the implementation of marketing campaigns and stakeholder engagement initiatives to promote hospital services and increase patient volumes.
- Support the management of social media platforms, website updates, and respond to enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in drafting marketing and communication material, including advertisements, newsletters, and internal notices.
- Coordinate public relations activities, events, and public health awareness campaigns in collaboration with departments.
- Liaise with media houses and service providers to support advertising and promotional activities.
- Maintain accurate marketing records, databases, and ensure proper documentation of all marketing activities.
Qualifications, Skills, Competencies and Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or relevant qualification.
- Minimum one (1) to two (2) years’ experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Experience in a healthcare or service environment will be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- High level of professionalism, creativity, and accountability.
