Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso-based drinks to a consistent standard
- Greet customers warmly, take orders and recommend menu items
- Keep the coffee station, equipment and front-of-house area clean and well stocked
- Handle cash and card payments accurately
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Work as part of a team during busy periods
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- Proven experience as a barista, with the ability to make a range of coffees (espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white, etc.)
- Barista certificate or training will be an advantage
- Excellent people and customer service skills
- An outgoing, positive personality and high energy
- Able to stay calm and work quickly under pressure
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
