Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain the SHEQ management system, policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with the Labour Act, health & safety regulations and environmental legislation
- Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and internal audits across warehouse and fleet operations
- Investigate incidents, near misses and road accidents; drive corrective actions
- Lead ISO certification and client / external audits
- Run SHEQ inductions, toolbox talks, driver safety and emergency-preparedness training
- Track and report SHEQ performance and KPIs to management
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related field
- SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certification
- Minimum 5 years’ SHEQ experience, including 2 at management level, preferably in logistics or transport
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
- Sound knowledge of Namibian health, safety and environmental legislation
- Strong leadership, communication and report-writing skills; valid driver’s licence
Based in, or willing to relocate to, Walvis Bay
