Key responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch
- Ensure stock accuracy through cycle counts, stock takes and reconciliations
- Optimise warehouse layout, space use and workflow
- Coordinate with transport, port and clearing teams on inbound and outbound cargo
- Enforce health & safety, security and housekeeping standards
- Manage the warehouse budget, equipment and maintenance, and report on KPIs
- Lead, roster, train and develop supervisors, clerks and general workers
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management
- Minimum 5 years’ warehouse experience, including 2 in a management role
- Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and inventory control
- Knowledge of port, customs and freight-forwarding processes is an advantage
- Strong MS Excel, reporting and problem-solving skills
- Proven leadership and people-management ability
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Walvis Bay
