PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Assist with task in the cold store, such as the receiving of goods, collection of goods, loading and delivery of goods, housekeeping and to ensure the smooth running of operations in the department

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist with loading activities according to orders received from the Cold Store Supervisor or SAP.
- Check that containers are clean and visually in good condition before loading.
- Load products into containers and trucks according to the required loading configuration.
- Label products according to product specifications.
- Adhere to the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principle during loading.
- Comply with all Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements during the loading process to ensure that the cold chain is maintained.
- Assist with investigations when discrepancies are identified during stock counts.
- Assist with cleaning, housekeeping, and the removal of ice from the cold room.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a cold store or similar environment.
