Section Head: Peri-Urban and Satellite Suburbs (North & South) – CITY of WINDHOEK

To coordinate the provision of municipal services and development intervention in the peri-urban area and satellite suburbs with a view of improving the quality of life of residents.

• Manage the Section and job activities of the staff members in the Sections (North/South).
• Coordinate the provisions of municipal services in the peri-urban area and satellite suburbs.
• Facilitate the implementtaion of development projects, policies and strategies in the peri-urban area and satellite suburbs.
• Implement the decentralization of functions from the head office to the peri-urban area and satellite suburbs.
• Ensure compliance to national laws, policies, regulations, procedures and development agendas.
• Carry-out of research and undertaken activities aimed at improving the quality of lifes in the peri-urban area and satellite suburbs.

Qualifications requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Development Planning/Development Management/Urban and Regional Planning/Project Management/Community Development or closely related development field.
• A Masters degree will serve as an added advantage.

Experience required:

Three (3) years experience in Development Planning/Development Management/Urban and Regional Planning/Project Management/Community Development.

Legal requirements:

A valid driver’s license – Code B/BE

Salary: N$ 629,364. 00 pa

Housing Allowance: N$251,748 pa

Vehicle Allowance: N$214,752.00 pa
