PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Control and coordinate the Financial Processes required including monitoring of debtors, creditors and cash flow in order to support the Finance department. This also enables the company management to execute business decisions based on the monthly management accounts and BPR reports.
KEY JOB OUTPUTS:
- Manage, review and execute month-end management accounts and submit as agreed upon deadlines.
- Compile and reconcile General Ledger accounts, ensuring monthly confirmation of all inter-group balances.
- Complete half-year and year-end reporting packs (on Draftworx) in accordance with Group standards and timelines.
- Reconcile allocated balance sheet accounts.
- Assist Finance Manager with completion of Monthly BLR reports.
- Manage all taxation processes, ensuring timely submission and payment of Income Tax, Import VAT, VAT, Withholding Tax on Services, and Withholding Tax on Interest.
- Support the Finance Manager in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Oversee the creditor payment process and reconciliation.
- Assist with office administration and process monthly invoices.
- Support debtor management and oversee intergroup transactions.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of the Fixed Asset Register; manage asset processing in SAP.
- Provide assistance during internal and external audits.
- Process all bank transactions, including charges and interest, and capture daily banking receipts; prepare cash flow schedules.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure readiness for review prior to finalizing monthly accounts.
- Process and post Petty Cash transactions monthly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years’ working experience
