Section Engineer: Roads & Stormwater Maintenance – CITY of WINDHOEK

Manage Section and manage efficient maintenance of roads and stormwater infrastructure; manage all stakeholders having services within road reserve.

• Manage the work/job activities of the staff members in the Section.
• Manage maintenance contracts.
• Manage in-house maintenance teams.
• Manage the coordination and control of service providers and trenching within road reserve and railway sidelings.
• Budget and cost control for Section and Unit Rate Contractors.

• Bsc. Civil Engineering/BEng. Civil Engineering/BTech Degree Civil Engineering or as required by the Engineering Council of Namibia for the registration of Incorporated of r Professional Engineers.

Experience required:

• A minimum of six (6) years experience after registration as an Incorportaed /Professional Engineer or as per current policy.

Legal Requirement: 

• A valid code B/BE/C1/C1E/C/CE driver’s license.

Legal requirements: Professional Status:

• Registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia as an Incorporated or Professional Engineer.

Pre-appointmnet training as an added advantage:

• Contract management; roads rehabilitation methodologies

Salary: N$870,972. 00 pa

Housing Allowance: N$348,384 pa

Vehicle Allowance: N$261,528. 00 pa
