Section Engineer: Design – CITY of WINDHOEK

Is directly responsibile for the design of the transportation network for all modes of transport, including flood management. Prepare plans, budget, coordinate, direct, monitor and evaluate planning/design projects.

• Plan, initiate, identify planning/design projects.
• Manage planning/design projects.
• Responsible for flood Management
• Plan, develop and evaluate the transportation network for all modes of transport.
• Supervise the work/job activities of the staff members in the Section

Qualification requirements:

B-Degree or B-Tech Diploma in Civil (Road Design) or as required by the Engineering Council of Namibia for the registeration of Incorporated or Professional Engineer in Civil (Road Design)

Experience required:

Six (6) years experience after registration as an Incorporated or Professional Engineer (Civil) in Road Design in Project Management, Stormwater Management and Road Design.

Legal requirements:

Code B/BE driver’s license

Professional status requirement:

Registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia as an Incorporated/Professional Engineer (Civil)

Pre-appoinment training/qualification as an added advantage:

Masters Degree in Road Design

Salary: N$870,972. 00 pa

Housing Allowance: N$348,384 pa

Vehicle Allowance: N$261,528. 00 pa
