Position: Manager: Marketing and Sales (NCA)
Job Grade: D4
Location: Rundu


Purpose of the Job

To lead, plan, and execute strategic marketing and sales initiatives aimed at driving business growth, enhancing brand visibility, and expanding market share for Meatco’s Northern Communal Areas (NCA) operations. The incumbent will ensure the seamless coordination of marketing and sales functions, identify new business opportunities, and provide strategic leadership to achieve revenue, profitability, and performance targets aligned with Meatco’s corporate objectives.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Sales, Business Administration, or Business Commerce.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in marketing and sales, of which at least three (3) years must be at a managerial level.

  • Experience in the Meat industry or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) will be an advantage.

  • Namibian citizen.

  • Valid Namibian Code BE driver’s licence.


Key Performance Areas

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing and sales plans to support business growth and market expansion.

  • Identify and pursue new business and market opportunities for meat products within the NCA.

  • Oversee marketing strategies, campaigns, promotions, and brand positioning initiatives to strengthen Meatco NCA’s market presence.

  • Lead and manage sales operations to achieve established revenue, volume, and profitability targets.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform business strategy and decision-making.

  • Direct product development initiatives, including the introduction and promotion of new product lines.

  • Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships to enhance satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing and sales objectives with corporate goals.

  • Manage pricing strategies, distribution networks, and product placement to optimize market competitiveness.

  • Oversee preparation and management of marketing and sales budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.

  • Drive innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across marketing and sales functions.

  • Provide regular performance updates and business intelligence to senior management.

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the marketing and sales team to achieve departmental goals and enhance capability.
