Engineer: Design and Construction – CITY of WINDHOEK

Fast track the provision of basic services in the informal settlements/low-income areas.

• Supervise the work/job activities of the staff members in the Sub-Section.
• Undertake or facilitate the planning, design and construction of basic services in the informal settlements.
• Prepare contracts or facilitate the preparation of contracts for provision of basic services in the informal settlements.
• Provide professional project management service for the provision of basic services in the informal settlements.
• Implement or facilitate implementation of ad-hoc requests for basic services and other engineering interventions in the informal settlements.
• Undertake research and value engineering services in the provision of basic services.

Qualification requirement:

B.Sc (Civil Engineering), B.Eng (Civil) or B Tech degree (Civil Engineering) or as otherwise required by the Engineering Council of Namibia for registration as an Incorporated /Professional Engineer.

Experience required:

Two (2) years experience in civil/Municipal Engineering

Legal requirements:

Code B/BE driver’s license

Prosessional registration status:

Registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia as an Incorporated Engineer or Professional Engineer

Salary: N$ 629,364. 00 pa

Housing Allowance: N$251,748 pa

Vehicle Allowance: N$214,752.00 pa
