Purpose of the Job
Bus driver will offer professional and timely transportation services for the company by safely, efficiently and effectively transporting Beifang employees to and from their place of work, according to instruction and schedule, including general transport-related tasks.
Key Performance Areas
- Performs laid down pre-start checks/inspections (i.e. checks fluid levels, for damage to vehicle, condition of tyres, leaks, etc.), completes the checklist and submits it to the Transport Supervisor.
- Transports employees to and from the worksite according to the time schedule and the route.
- Adheres to the compliance of standards regarding general housekeeping of premises and transport fleet.
- Supports and creates sound working relationships with co-workers/team members to resolve problems.
- Reporting all SHEQ related incidents/accidents to the Supervisor or Safety representative as soon as possible, but not later than the working day.
- Always ensures a good image representation of the company.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 10 or 12 Certificate
- Valid Heavy-duty Driver’s Licence/Code 11/C/CE
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
Experience
- Heavy-duty driving experience: 3 years
Knowledge and Skills
- Have basic communication skills
- Defensive driving ability skills
- Good organizational skills
