Beifang Mining Technology Services (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd (BMTS) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Auto-Electrician.

Purpose of the Job
To diagnose, maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems on heavy mining equipment and light vehicles, ensuring safe, reliable equipment performance and minimising operational downtime.
Key Performance Areas
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy mining equipment and light vehicles.
- Maintain and repair charging, starting and electronic control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine electrical inspections.
- Troubleshoot electronic monitoring systems using diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain electrical systems on CAT, Terex, XCMG and other mining equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety and operational standards.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate (20 point minimum)
- Recognised Auto-Electrician Trade Certificate N3
- Valid Code B Driver’s Licence
- Code CE Driver’s Licence will be an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ auto-electrical maintenance experience on heavy earthmoving equipment and light vehicles
- Experience in OEM electronic monitoring and fault-finding systems
- Previous auto-electrical experience on mining earthmoving equipment and utility vehicles will be advantageous
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong electrical and electronic fault-finding abilities
- Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams
- Knowledge of charging, starting and electronic control systems
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work effectively within a maintenance team
