PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for the washing, fumigating, disinfecting as well as loading and sampling of bulk trucks.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible in respect of own Vehicle
• Need to climb onto truck and wash it from top down with steam cleaner, before truck gets loaded.
• Need to disinfect each truck before loading.
• Need to wash truck with broom and soap on a weekly basis from top down.
• Climb onto bulk truck and load feed into truck in communication with Production Supervisor.
• Ensure that the right product is loaded as well as the quantity loaded as per the loading sheet.
• Climb onto truck and take samples with sampler and bucket and take it to the lab for analysing.
• Clean any spillages on top of truck after loaded.
• Fumigate trucks on Fridays in preparation for Namib Poultry: Breeders.
2. Maintenance
• Climb onto raw material truck and take samples as per procedures (bucket and sampler). Take samples to lab with supporting documentation.
• Always keep wash bay clean and tidy.
• Report any irregularities of cleaning equipment. E.g. Pressure cleaner spray ray nozzles etc.
• Before each shift check disinfectant level in tank and fill up if necessary.
• After truck is loaded obtain delivery note, truck load form, invoice, and NIR lab results from the admin, lab department and Production Supervisor.
3. General Duties
• Always wear safety harness when on the truck.
• Make sure nobody is on a moving truck/vehicle.
• Ensure that the loading area (scale) is always clean and tidy.
• Assist with any ad hoc tasks given by supervisor/controller.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
• Grade 12 (NQF 4) with minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Namibian citizen.
• A Valid Namibian Driver’s Licence, Code B will be an added advantage.
