Overview:
The incumbent will manage assigned pharmaceutical and consumer-related products in line with Nampharm’s policies and SOPs, with monthly KPI-based reporting to the Procurement Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Procurement and Inventory Management.
- Knowledge of Namibian regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical products (advantage).
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and cross-border documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret market trends and data.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Leadership ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong time management, logical reasoning, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good physical and mental condition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Procure registered drugs and other products while complying with local and international laws.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure better trade agreements and pricing.
- Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Assist Warehouse and Telesales teams with product queries.
- Manage stock portfolio: monitor levels, place orders, check expired and excess stock, and ensure price accuracy.
- Provide Telesales with product information and expected arrival dates.
- Liaise with medical representatives and suppliers to maintain strong relationships.
